Paint Enhancement:
Intended for well-maintained vehicles that need a little refresher.
Our paint enhancement is designed to maximize gloss and shine on both newer and older vehicles. The paint enhancement is not designed to be a corrective option for weathered paint, rather it is designed to give your vehicle the last little touch that it needs to ensure that it shines as brightly as possible in the sun.
One Step Paint Correction:
Intended for newer vehicles with minor oxidation and swirling.
Our one step paint correction utilizes a combination of a yellow (medium firmness) polishing pad, and a polishing compound to remove 50-60% of scratches on your vehicle's painted surfaces. This is a perfect option for those whose vehicles have been left in the sun and are lightly oxidized as a result. This is also the perfect selection for those whose vehicle's paint is covered in swirl marks from their local car wash.
Two Step Paint Correction:
Intended for newer vehicles with heavy oxidation and swirling.
Our two step paint correction utilizes a significantly more aggressive paint correction process designed to leave your vehicle's paint looking as much like a mirror as possible. The first step involves using a combination of a microfiber cutting pad with a heavy polish to remove heavy defects from the vehicle's paint. This is then followed by a meticulous refinement step using a yellow polishing pad and finishing polish to achieve that mirror-like finish. A two-step paint correction typically results in a 70-80% removal of swirls, scratches, and other paint defects.
The time required for each of our paint correction options is largely dictated by the size and condition of the vehicle that has come in for service. With that being said, we typically estimate that each polishing step takes about one full working day to complete.
On average:
*Again please understand that the above information is only an estimate. Each day and vehicle presents different requirements that can create shorter or longer timelines for completion.*
Preexisting Damage:
Paint correction is not intended to, and will not, repair deep scratches, paint chips, dents, or other large damage that your vehicle has experienced. As a general rule if your vehicle has a scratch that catches your fingernail, or if you can see the metal underneath your paint, that scratch must be repaired and cannot be corrected.
Quality of Paint:
In our experience each manufacturer, make, and model comes with its own unique paint that requires an equally unique approach. Typically vehicles with softer clear coat is far easier to paint correct than vehicles with harder clear coat. As a result, it is reasonable to expect slightly higher paint correction for vehicles with a softer clear coat.
Paint thickness also varies widely between vehicle manufacturers, makes, and models. Ultimately, the level of paint correction that can reasonably and safely be achieved is dictated heavily by the thickness of a vehicle's clear coat. Vehicles with thicker layers of clear coat allow for far greater paint correction than those with little to no clear coat. This rule is even more applicable to older collector vehicles that may only have single-stage paint.
